She wanted something extra chocolately-I wanted to use my new xlarge cupcake cookie cutter....here is what I came up with the solve the dilemma-for the school party. Cupcake shaped Brownies! Brownies dipped in chocolate, frosted, sprinkled X2 w/a M&M "cherry" on top. The spare parts were used to make tiaras, shoes, and stars. She loves them.

OBSESSED!

Have you seen this cake mold? It is a Martha Stewart Beehive Cake Mold from her online catalog-which is no longer in existence. I have been obsessed with having this mold for YEARS! Really. Seriously. Please if you see this mold, have this mold, or know someone who does...I would love to purchase it, or buy + draw your child's/grandchild's picture, or just borrow it to make one of these cute little cakes. Thanks guys! Kelly

Emme's Birthday Cake...
What a Birthday Party Emme had! Her theme was Chocolate and boy was there CHOCOLATE! I had the honor of doing her cake-Milk Chocolate with Milk Chocolate Frosting, decorated with cake "kisses" dipped in chocolate, fondant "kisses", and M&M's. One large cake "kiss" adorned the top with the banner that reads "HAPPY BIRTHDAY EMME!" She also ordered 24 additional individual cake "kisses" for this party as well. I have also attached a couple of pics of the party....IT WAS FABULOUS!
The tables weren't completely decorated when I took this pic-she later scattered assorted chocolates up the center as well as added the individual cake "kisses" to the tables. She also had lots of brown and pink balloons. Gloppy, from CandyLand, showed up again as a backdrop to the main food table.
She lined the walkway from the door to the party with a (paper)M&M path. All I can say is: AWESOME! Do you think Paddi would throw me a Birthday Party?lol

A Kiss is NOT just a KISS.....
My newest adventure began with a request for a Hershey Kiss Cake for a friend. I then took the idea of and transformed it into individual ones for my own daughter's birthday party at school. Needless to say the kids LOVED them! Who wouldn't love cake and frosting nested inside a Hershey's chocolate shell? I posted a pic of Jordan holding one of the "cakes" so you could get an idea of the size. Take care and have a great weekend.

Tip Junkie Contest

Tip Junkie is having a contest for the "word" of 2009. http://www.tipjunkie.blogspot.com/

When I first saw this on Tabetha's blog I was very intrigued at what her word was and what she had to say....her word for 2009 is "relax". I started thinking of what my "word" would be for the new year and I tossed around "enlightened," "pure," "inspire," "potential," and "vital," all beautiful words, but the one that my heart spoke was "aspire." Picking my word for 2009 and defining it for my life and sharing it with all of you is a great experience and I encourage you to find your WORD, whatever it may be, and share it with others. Thanks Tabetha.

ASPIRE....as·pir'er To have a great ambition or ultimate goal;
To have a fervent hope or aspiration: dream. Idioms: reach for the stars, set one's heart on. To strive toward a goal: aim, seek. Idioms: set one's sights on. To soar.

The Wedding...
It is official....Courtney McClain and Jason Rutherford are now Mr. and Mrs. Jason Rutherford. The ceremony was beautiful and the reception was awesome! Diane Morton did most of the food and it was the "bomb diggity bomb"! Congratulations Jason and Courtney...have a great time on your 10 day cruise!!!! Well...here it is the REAL cake and some more pics of the food....I will post some of the event when I get them-I was kinda busy and didn't make any pics other than these.

Chocolate mints....the house speciality around here. TIP: Never put mint molds in the dishwasher. The ones I was going to use kinda got a little warped. Luckily I had these as well and it turned out better than the original plan. It's all good.
