Snowman Sunday....

This has been a very busy Thanksgiving weekend. Thanksgiving day, Black Friday, house cleaning, tree trimming, and getting ready for the Craft Fair on Friday and Saturday at Covenant Academy in Morrison...WHEW! Sunday was very productive....4 ornaments and 4 paintings. Here is what I like to call Snowman Sunday.

Recycle, Reuse, Repurpose, RESPONSIBLE!!!!

I have been holding on to these empty coffee canisters for some time now. Originally, I intended to cover them w/scrapbook paper and use for storage, but I have had a better idea: Cover them w/scrapbook paper and use for housing, and delivering, my Christmas Cookie gifts. Imagine these with a beautiful ribbon and hand stamped tag...I will post a pic of the finished product when I get ready to give as gifts. You could even paint the black rim a different color if you wanted.

Watercolor, Ink, and Acrylic Paintings....

Here are a few of my Watercolor, Ink, and Acrylic paintings. I am loving mixing mediums to create whimsical works of art. These have to be sealed and framed, and will be available at the Covenant Craft Fair Dec. 4-5. Hope to see you there!!!!

Covenant Arts and Crafts Fair Dec. 4-5

I just wanted to let you know I am signed up and getting ready for the 1st Annual Covenant Arts and Crafts Fair on December 4-5. I will have lots of ornaments, and hopefully some paintings, and sewing to display. Take care and I hope to see you all there! Here is a sneak peek:

Basketball Team Necklaces...

Here is the craft for the day....Necklaces for Reagan's Basketball Team. Each one is in school colors, blue, orange and white w/each girls initial, basketball imprint, & jersey number with a sweet little cross sewn on for luck. The back is stamped w/a "W" for wins, "L" for losses (which I hope we do not have) and "09". When the season is over and they have grown out of their jersies, they can hang a memory on their Christmas trees and have a fond memory of what it was like to be young and to work together as a team.

I hope they will like them...what a bunch of sweet little girlies!

Handpainted Christmas Ornaments

Fair Delights....

Fall is in the air~and I LOVE the colors, and decor fall brings.
This past week+ also saw the coming of the county fair.
Here's the goodies I made for the BCS food booth.
Chocolate/Caramel personal bundt cake w/chocolate
cream frosting and topped w/a chocolate and caramel leaf or acorn.
Next time I am going to add frosting "shots" to the menu.

Each center was filled w/luscious, ooooey~ goooey caramel.

Funny isn't it? No fancy cake for this crowd. Just give them an old fashioned, deep-dish, homemade chocolate pie!

WCHS Band Reunion Pina Colada Cupcakes

Pina Colada Music Note mini cupcakes for the July 4th Band Reunion. Thanks to Billy Faye and Rennie for a wonderful time. It was great seeing everyone and I look forward to my own 20 year high school reunion next weekend! Check back next week---I am doing the cake for that as well.
